Near the Venue (Conti di San Bonifacio – Gavorrano/Montemassi)

  • Wine tasting & estate activities at Conti di San Bonifacio – on-site tastings, guided horseback rides through forests and fields, and guided bike tours (book ahead). contidisanbonifacio.com

  • Massa Marittima – a medieval hill town with charming cafés, winding lanes, and the stunning Cathedral of San Cerbone (perfect for golden-hour photos). ~30–40 min by car.

  • Scarlino borgo & Castello (Rocca Pisana) – short strolls with panoramic Maremma views; the castle grounds are typically open and free. ~35–40 min.

By the Sea (for guests at The Sense & Golf Resort – Follonica)

  • Castiglione della Pescaia – medieval lanes, beaches, boutiques, and a picturesque port. ~25–30 min.

  • Day trip: Baratti & Populonia Archaeological Park – explore the Etruscan necropolis and enjoy cliff-top views over a turquoise bay. ~50–60 min.

And of course, simply wandering through the seaside town of Follonica itself is a lovely option—cafés, gelato shops, boutiques, and a laid-back seaside Tuscan vibe await.
